SABBIR AHMED · Registered Psychotherapist (UKCP) & EMCC Therapeutic Coach
Most couples don’t come to couples coaching because something is broken; they come because something is workable, and they want to do the work intentionally.
Couples coaching is structured, forward-facing work on the relationship you’re building together. Not therapy for what went wrong, but practical, kind, accountable work on what you want next.

Build momentum
In couples coaching, I provide you tools for confidence and asserting your boundaries
Holistic and culturally aware
I prioritise your relationship and provide holistic coaching in accordance with your needs.
On the outside, your relationship looks fine: functional, the bills paid, friends calling you the stable couple. Inside, the same argument with a different label, “I’m fine” said too often, yesterday’s row replayed at 2am.
The date nights, the communication books, the big honest talk on holiday; they help for a moment, but the same patterns come back.
Imagine disagreeing about money without it costing you the next 48 hours. Making the big decision – the move, the baby, the business – together, on purpose, rather than by default. That’s what a real relationship feels like when both of you are doing the work from the inside out.
I can help you overcome the fears and obstacles in your life.
About Me
I know what it’s like to feel a relationship under strain – to be the couple everyone assumes is fine while inside you’re holding it together by routine and politeness.
I arrived in the UK as an immigrant. When our son was diagnosed with autism and excluded from multiple schools, everyone told my wife and me to lower our expectations. We didn’t. He now has two Master’s degrees and works alongside me in our family-run home care business; my wife and I are still partners three decades on.
With 20+ years in the NHS and private practice, and training from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and King’s College London, I bring clinical depth to couples work without pathologising two people building something together.
If you’re ready for someone who’s done long-term partnership in real conditions, I’d be honoured to work with you both.
Sabbir’s professionalism and expertise have been instrumental in navigating various aspects of my life. What sets Sabbir apart is his commitment to empowering his clients. He provides practical tools and strategies that extended beyond our sessions, contributing significantly to my personal growth and resilience in everyday life

Teacher
I came to the UK as an immigrant, worked days and nights while training, and raised a son with autism alongside my wife in a system that often doubted him. This lived experience shapes how I support every couple.
I’m a UKCP-registered psychotherapist and therapeutic coach (EMCC) with decades in NHS and community mental health, working with thousands of individuals and couples facing complex emotional and life challenges.
I’ve walked the journey from diagnosis to adulthood with my autistic son, who now works alongside me in our home-care company. I spent many years working in an NHS neuro team and I specialise in supporting neurodivergent clients.
I work with students, carers, professionals and leaders alike. If I could move forward despite my own obstacles, I believe, with the right support, that you can too.
I pay attention to culture, faith and identity, drawing on my own diverse background, so you never have to leave any part of yourself at the door.
We set practical goals in our coaching sessions but also work on the deeper patterns that keep you stuck, so change is sustainable rather than a brief boost.
I offer face-to-face couples coaching in Central London and online sessions for clients across the UK (and internationally). You can choose what best supports your schedule, privacy, and consistency.
Locations (in-person):
A simple 3-step process to lasting change
Get to the root
In our first extended session, we explore your relationship history in depth; your background, strengths, challenges, and the patterns that keep showing up in your relationship dynamics.
Together, we identify the root of what’s been holding you back, so we know exactly what we’re working with.
Create your system
Based on what we discover, we design a personalised structure that works for you both as a couple, including practical strategies, habits, and boundary-setting strategies.
I hold you accountable to the changes you want to make, so progress becomes consistent, not accidental.
Strengthen & sustain
As you work together as a couple with me, we track what’s working and what needs adjusting.
I support you through the difficult moments while providing accountability, so new patterns take root and a strong, stable relationship becomes your new normal.
Take action to transform your relationship
With Sabbir’s support, my confidence soared and within six months my income had grown fivefold

I won’t promise miracles. But drawing on my work as a psychotherapist and therapeutic coach, many clients report:

This is couples coaching with a psychotherapeutic foundation based on my experience in family and psychoanalytic therapy.
If therapy is the better fit for your needs as a couple, we can discuss this further.
Yes: I offer in-person couples coaching in Central London at the Harley Street (W1) and Angel (EC1) locations, in addition to online sessions across the UK and internationally.
I ask you some initial questions about your relationship, the struggles you face as a couple, clarify what you want from coaching, what’s getting in the way, and then agree on next steps.
