About Me
My name is Sabbir Ahmed, and I am an integrative psychotherapist with a deep passion for helping others navigate their psychological challenges and difficulties.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), which I use as part of my evidence-based approach to therapy.
My journey into psychotherapy was deeply personal; it began when my eldest son was diagnosed with autism, which inspired me to work in education with neurodivergent children and their families. This experience led me to pursue a career in psychotherapy, where I could make a difference in the lives of others facing similar challenges.
In my psychotherapy practice, I aim to work toward a brighter, more balanced future, working together with my clients towards a plan of action.
My Professional Background
I have trained at the Tavistock and Portman Mental Health Trust, a world-class institute known for its excellence in psychotherapy training and mental health care. Additionally, I have studied CBT at the internationally renowned Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience of King’s College London.
My professional background includes extensive experience in both the NHS and private practice, where I specialise in supporting individuals with a range of psychological challenges. These include trauma, addiction, depression, personality disorders, and low self-esteem. I also have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals.
In addition to my private practice, I continue to work in the NHS and consult for various organisations. My goal is to provide compassionate, tailored support to each person I work with, helping them to navigate their unique path toward healing and well-being.
