“Sabbir had helped me take my confidence and my mental health to another level.”
My name is Sabbir, and I am a London-based psychotherapist and coach who has spent more than two decades helping people navigate life’s twists and turns.
My professional path began at home when my eldest son was diagnosed with autism. Working closely with neurodivergent children and their families in the education sector sparked a deep commitment to mental health work; eventually, I trained to be a Psychotherapist and started my career in the NHS more than a decade ago.
Over the years, I have worn many hats in the NHS, working as a Youth Offending Team clinician, neuro-developmental specialist, clinical supervisor, and service manager.
These experiences taught me that no two journeys look alike, but that everyone benefits from expert guidance, warmth, and a clear plan.
If you’re wrestling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship struggles, I draw on evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, analytical psychotherapy, systemic and family therapies, and the latest neuroscience, to create a safe, supportive space where we can untangle thought and behavioural patterns, thereby building resilience together.
If your focus is forward-looking, for example career change, personal growth, or everyday balance, we’ll work in a coaching style: clarifying goals, crafting actionable steps, and keeping you accountable as confidence and clarity grow.
Some people feel that the depth of therapeutic practice suits them best; others thrive on the energy and goal-orientation of coaching. Many do best with a blend of both. Whatever you’re facing, I’ll shape the approach around you, turning obstacles into opportunities and helping you to grow and thrive.
I trained at the Tavistock and Portman Mental Health Trust, a world-class institute known for its excellence in psychotherapy training and mental health care. In addition, I studied CBT at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London
My professional background includes extensive experience in both the NHS and private practice, where I specialise in supporting individuals with a range of psychological challenges. These include trauma, addiction, depression, personality disorders, and low self-esteem. I also have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals, and I am registered with a range of directories, including Counselling Directory, Psychology Today, Welldoing and BAATN.
Additionally, I continue to work in the NHS and consult for various organisations. My goal is to provide compassionate, tailored support to each person I work with, helping them to navigate their unique path toward healing and well-being.
